Aqua Logic Gravity-CS-Ultra-HC filter element 8 inches

This Aqua Logic Gravity-CS-Ultra-HC filter element 8 inch is a replacement filter element for the Aqua Logic Gravity-CS-Ultra-Filter-Set gravity water filter and Aqua Logic stainless steel gravity water filter. This filter element can also be used as a better alternative for many other brands, including the British Berkefeld, Doulton water filters and the Berkey Water Filter. One filter element is good for an average water yield of 9 liters per hour.

Tip: If you want to use 1 filter element in a housing with two holes, you must seal the other hole with this silicone sealing cap.

Filter properties

The filter element consists of:

• 0.03 micron ultra membrane filter
  This filters protozoa (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium) and bacteria (including cholera, typhoid, legionella and E. coli) from the water with an effectiveness of > 99.9999%.
  
  
• 100% organic (coconut husk) activated carbon
  This greatly reduces color, odor, taste, metals such as lead, yeasts, chlorine, drug residues and other chemicals.
  
  
• Colloidal (nano)silver impregnation
  This nano silver is applied to the outside of the active carbon. The coating inhibits the growth of bacteria and micro-organisms on the filter.

Shelf life and lifespan

When not in use the filter has a virtually unlimited shelf life, provided you store it in a cool, dry and dark place. With continuous use the lifespan approximately 1 year (depending on how polluted the water you are filtering is), then you should replace the filter element.

Cleaning

Because the filter element is equipped with an integrated cleaning pad (the black belt), you can easily clean it by moving the pad over the filter surface and then rinsing away the dirt. You should also do this if the flow rate of the filter element decreases. The filter also works without the addition of chemicals and is constructed from maintenance-free and corrosion-free components.
