Sawyer Point One Squeeze SP129 water filter

The Sawyer Point One Squeeze SP129 is a compact water filter (13.6 x 9.8 cm) weighing only 85 grams, which ensures that you have access to clean (drinking) water wherever you are. It works very simply: fill the bag at a lake, stream or river, screw the filter directly on and then squeeze the bag to filter the water into a bottle. You can also screw the water filter on most standard disposable bottles or you can turn it into a gravity filter with the included mesh carrying bag!

About the filter

With an absolute filtration of 0.1 micron, the water filter removes no less than 99.99999% of all bacteria, such as salmonella, leptospirosis, cholera and E.coli, 99.9999% of all protozoa (such as giardia and cryptosporidium), and 100% of microplastics.

Sawyer water filters contain a large number of tiny 'U' shaped hollow fiber microtubes that trap contaminants while allowing the sanitized water to freely pass through at a high flow rate - eliminating the need to store water and reducing the chance of water contamination after the filtration process.

Cleaning Sawyer Point One Squeeze SP129

The Point One Squeeze SP129’s filter membranes are tough enough to withstand backwashing with the included syringe, restoring up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate with each cleaning. The water filter can be cleaned and reused almost indefinitely without replacing expensive cartridges. We recommend backwashing and cleaning the filter after every trip for optimal performance.
